Associate

A publicly traded REIT is looking to hire an Acquisitions Associate to assist the team in sourcing direct new sale leaseback business. The Associate will report directly to the SVP of Acquisitions and must be a driven and analytical individual willing to develop outbound calling campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Deal Sourcing:
  • Proactively identify and source off-market sale-leaseback, development, and other investment opportunities
  • Research target industries to identify companies/franchisees with owned real estate
  • Conduct outbound outreach (calls, emails, conferences, LinkedIn, etc.) to establish contact with business owners, CFOs, and other decision-makers
• Business Development:
  • Build and manage relationships with owner-operators, franchise groups, investment bankers, developers, and other sale-leaseback advisors
  • Maintain relationships with brokers and intermediaries while focusing on direct deal origination
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and franchise conferences

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, economics, or related field
• CRM experience (salesforce) preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• 3-7 years of business development experience in real estate and/or investment banking preferred
• Must be comfortable cold calling and have prior sale leaseback/real estate capital markets knowledge
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to interact with all levels including, but not limited to C-Suite and legal counsel
• Experience sourcing off-market transactions directly from operators and franchisees is highly preferred
• Existing network within sectors such as automotive service, QSR, etc is a plus
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
