Senior Property Manager

Orange County, CA

A privately held commercial real estate owner and operator is seeking a Property Manager to oversee a portfolio of approximately 1.3 million square feet of retail and industrial assets throughout Orange County and the Inland Empire. This individual will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the portfolio, partnering with tenants, vendors, contractors, and internal teams to maximize property performance and deliver exceptional service.

Responsibilities:

Property Operations & Tenant Relations

  • Oversee the day-to-day management of a commercial portfolio consisting of retail and industrial properties
  • Develop and maintain strong tenant relationships by responding to service requests, resolving issues, coordinating tenant improvements, and conducting regular property inspections
  • Manage tenant collections and coordinate legal default proceedings when necessary
  • Provide responsive support for property emergencies and coordinate after-hours response as needed

Financial Management

  • Partner with accounting and finance teams to prepare and manage annual operating and capital budgets
  • Monitor property expenses and assist in maintaining the financial performance of the portfolio
  • Support rent collections and ensure lease obligations are administered appropriately

Vendor & Capital Project Management

  • Manage vendor relationships and oversee service agreements to ensure quality performance and contract compliance
  • Coordinate tenant improvement projects, capital improvements, and other construction initiatives with contractors, architects, and consultants
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, and overall execution to ensure successful project delivery
  • Oversee all financial operations, accounting functions, financial reporting, treasury management, and cash flow planning across multiple entities
  • Lead internal accounting operations while coordinating with outside accounting firms, auditors, and tax advisors
  • Develop and enhance financial reporting systems, internal controls, and company-wide accounting processes
  • Partner directly with ownership on strategic planning, financial analysis, and company growth initiatives

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of commercial property management experience, preferably overseeing retail and/or industrial properties
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • California Real Estate License preferred
  • Experience managing operating budgets, vendor relationships, tenant improvements, and property operations
  • Strong communication, organization, and relationship management skills
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative environment
