I recently sat down to help a friend fix a résumé that hadn’t received a response from recruiters for eight months. She was running marketing at a mid-size software company, and she used Claude and ChatGPT almost every day for tasks like writing the first drafts for campaign briefs, cleaning up messy spreadsheet exports, and turning three competitor websites into a one-page positioning summary —all before lunchtime. It was kind of a steady loop, but recently things felt stuck. She’d even built a couple of Claude workflows, which her team used every day. But would you believe that none of all that appeared anywhere on her résumé?
So, we added 4 lines describing what she actually did with those tools and what the results were. Guess what? She had two first-round interviews within a month.
This only shows that this year, adding artificial intelligence tools on a résumé is as important to almost any tech or marketing role as “being fluent in Microsoft Office” used to be.
