(Senior) Project Manager

A San Diego-based, commercial construction company who takes pride in providing the full spectrum of general contracting services is looking for a motivated Project Manager to become a key member of their Senior Management Team and integral part of the company’s life science future.
The Project Manager will integrate with the existing team to continue growth, set goals, monitor and manage construction projects and evaluate the results to ensure that business objectives and operating requirements are met and consistent with the needs and vision of the organization. The Senior Project Manager will work with and mentor younger team members to foster their growth.

Responsibilites
- Run commercial construction estimating, scheduling, accounting, and project administration for life science projects
- Lead development teams externally and project teams internally
- Lead, support and manage skilled staff and consultants
- Train, instruct and mentor members of the team in various methods and techniques that will enhance the team and company performance
- Represent the company publicly in a professional manner
- Demonstrate ability to deal with constantly changing priorities and job requirements
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience and knowledge of the construction industry and company operations
- Ability to manage multiple projects and people in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Strong estimating skills; conceptual and detailed; knowledgeable in trade unit pricing
- Able to develop schematic budgets and timelines
- Organized and task-oriented
- Able to independently run OAC meetings
- Experienced managing design-build and design-assist projects
- Proven ability to accurately forecast project profits and schedules
- Experience mentoring younger team members
- Adaptable to current processes, procedures and reporting
- Ability to cultivate new clients and opportunities
- Hold senior management skills in construction
- Perform as an effective leader and mentor able to integrate as a team member
- Able to work independently as well as work closely and positively with partners and clients
- Be able to embrace and adapt to technology required to fulfill responsibilities of this position, to include OST, MS Project, Sage, Procore, MS Office, Bluebeam.
