A private real estate investment firm that focuses on value-add and impact-driven strategies across multifamily, residential, and commercial assets across the U.S. is looking for an Assistant Vice President to join their team.
An Assistant Vice President serves as a key contributor to the Investor Solutions department and supports the firm’s overall growth. This position is responsible for providing comprehensive support and service to existing and prospective clients while collaborating effectively with internal teams. This position requires strong communication skills to manage and resolve investor inquiries promptly and professionally. Other key responsibilities include optimizing and maintaining the Client Management System (CRM), to enhance operational efficiency and ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to investor communications, reporting and monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Update and process investor changes: transfers, address changes, custodial or wealth manager changes, etc.
- Draft and upload investor related notices: capital calls, capital distributions, quarterly closings, ongoing wealth manager reports, etc.
- Coordinate and post investor related documents as they pertain to tax and accounting statements.
- Initiate and maintain access to data room for prospective investors: prequalification questionnaires, marketing collateral and documents for the data rooms.
- Updating CRM for new or existing investors (Juniper).
- Follow up with prospects or advisors as needed regarding subscription document completion.
- Coordinate subscription document review with the Compliance department for final Legal approval.
- Managing new subscription documentation and closings, tracking and managing inbound and outbound capital.
- Attends, plans and interacts with investors directly during Annual Investors Day.
- Partners with capital formation and investor relations team during the registration period for all sales and marketing activities.
- Initiates, coordinates and answers questions about voting and proxy requirements across strategies.
- Responsible for quality control of data saved in internal CRM system.
- Assist Compliance with the evaluating current and potential processes to improve customer retention according to best practices.
- Provide information supporting external compliance reviews and regulatory filings.
- Assist in the completion of investor due diligence requests and compliance reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field of study preferred
- 5-7 years of relevant experience preferably at an investment management, investment consulting, wealth management, registered investment advisor, financial services, legal, or regulated organization
- Direct experience with the investor subscription document process
- Flexibility to accommodate project and reporting deadlines
- Ability to manage large amounts of data and create work process flows
- MS Office and Excel with a focus on financial analysis
- CRM system admin user (Juniper Square)
- Current FINRA Series 7 and 63 is a plus
- Strong communication skills (written, verbal, interpersonal, listening) and demonstrated ability to create an immediate positive impression
- Ability to understand and clearly explain complex concepts

- Ability to work in Irvine, CA office 5 days a week
