A private real estate investment firm that focuses on value-add and impact-driven strategies across multifamily, residential, and commercial assets across the U.S. is looking for a Senior Asset Management Analyst to provide support to the Asset Management Team. This role will be responsible for conducting and documenting investment analysis for both commercial and multi-family projects. This role provides an opportunity to gain Investment Management exposure in an entrepreneurial private equity environment with frequent exposure to the company’s executives.
Responsibilities
- Assist in presentations to senior management and investor reporting.
- Thoroughly analyze the impact of lease transactions and capital projects to property value (discounted cash flow analysis) and cash-on-cash returns.
- Maintain and analyze weekly lease comps & traffic reports.
- Assist with annual operating budgets, capital budgets and business plans.
- Monitor LIHTC compliance and essential housing required reporting.
- Maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual operational financial reports.
- Due diligence and analysis for refinances and dispositions.
- Prepare cash flow and capital distribution waterfalls.
- Prepare and maintain reforecasting and fund cash flow models.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university in economics, finance, accounting, real estate, or related field (MBA a plus).
- 2 – 4 years of overall direct real estate experience.
- Proficiency in Argus and other real estate analytical tools and software.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and complex financial modeling including CAM Reconciliations.
- Experience working with commercial office and multi-family product.
- Strong communication, presentation, and writing skills.
- Thorough understanding of the physical and financial aspects of property performance, and the relationship between the two.
- Well-organized and detailed oriented individual with the highest degree of integrity, motivation and intellectual curiosity.
- Skilled in working across heavily matrixed organizations which requires significant influencing and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in Irvine, CA office 5 days a week.
- Some travel expected.
